About Split Endz

I am Melissa Bechtel, owner and hair stylist, of Split Endz located in downtown Redding, California. My specialty is in the art of hair cut, color & fashion. With over 15 years in the industry, the art of hair is a great passion of mine. I don't measure my success by the awards that I've acquired over the years, but I do find gratitude making people feel happy when they leave my salon, because anyone who steps into Split Endz deserves to feel great about themselves.

When I'm not in the salon, I cater love and compassion to my friends and family. I have two beautiful and talented daughters who mean the world to me. There's never a dull moment with my family. Any mother knows, bad days come and go, but their love and mere presence makes my heart glow and fuels my desire to be a hard working mother. Full-time business owner, Full-time stylist and last but certainly not least, a full-time loving mother.

I've dedicated my talents to those beyond my salon and family... I'm talking about those individuals in serious needs. I collaboate with many organizations such as Make-A-Wish Foundation, Women's Refuge, Breast Cancer Awareness and several other organizations by providing my talents in charity events. I love what I do and the gift of giving reminds me it's not about how much money is made, but continuing to contribute to my clients, my family and everyone in need.

Last and certainly not least, I really like to thank my mother. She has shown the utmost love and support towards me, my business decisions and I sincerely believe a lot of this would not be possible without her presence. I love you mom!
